About Our Program

See general FAQ about the LSAT

What are the class sizes?

Our LSAT classes are typically 5-12 students. In order to ensure that every student receives sufficient individual attention from the instructor, our student-to-teacher ratio never exceeds 10. Larger classes are staffed with an additional instructor.

How is Ivy Global different than other schools?

Most schools provide instructors who do not possess the skills and experience necessary for effective LSAT teaching. The teaching method at these schools is often generic and does not sufficiently recognize the unique needs of each student. Ivy Global prides itself on its uniquely tailored program and its top quality instructors.

Who are your LSAT instructors?

We carefully choose instructors who combine outstanding performance on the LSAT with a passion for teaching. Our instructors are experts in teaching the LSAT.

Should I take an LSAT class or private tutoring?

Both our LSAT classes and our one-on-one private LSAT tutoring will provide you with the knowledge and preparation you need to improve your performance on the LSAT. The classes are well suited for students who are new to the LSAT and who want to learn about all aspects of the test. Private tutoring is well suited for students who learn more effectively in a one-on-one context, or who need to improve on only specific sections or question types on the LSAT.

Where do you offer classes?

We offer LSAT prep courses in the following cities:
Calgary | Kingston | Kitchener | Toronto

Which LSAT class should I take?

Ivy Global offers both a Full Course (60 hrs) and a Crash Course (24 hrs). Both our LSAT classes will cover all aspects of the test and will equip you with the most effective strategies for tackling every question type on the test. The Crash Course will cover all the essential concepts whereas the Full Course will cover each of the concepts more thoroughly. We recommend taking the class that will best fit with your schedule and budget.

Will the student be taking practice exams during classes?

Yes. Since the LSAT requires intensely analyzing very dense material in a very short amount of time, it is essential for students to experience writing the test under accurate test conditions. Our classes will provide practice sections from actual, previously administered LSAT’s for students to practice their newly acquired skills and strategies. Our longer courses offer more practice exams.

Do classes run on holidays?

Unless otherwise noted, classes that are scheduled through a national holiday will run on that day.

Can I sample a class?

Students can arrange to drop in and observe one session of a currently running course in their location, as long as this is authorized by our office. Please call to schedule.

Do I get to choose my tutor?

We try to accommodate the student's request but the match depends heavily on the student's and the tutor's schedule. Regardless, we can assure you that our tutors are experienced, have exceptional academic credentials and a deep commitment to seeing their students succeed.

Do you help with the other aspects of the admissions process?

Yes. In addition to the LSAT, we help students with:

  • Law School Planning - Creating a "law school profile", setting target schools and developing a goal list necessary to improve your chances of admission.
  • Personal Statement - Choosing a topic, setting a narrative perspective and refining key points to address.
  • References - Approaching professors, advice on who should you ask, and writing thank you notes
  • General - Admission tips, school specific considerations, and application timelines.

Why Ivy Global?

  • Experience - Our tutors have been admitted to top schools in both Canada and the United States and can provide their firsthand knowledge of the admissions process.
